My Personal Page
Industrial Engineer from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), during which I developed two internships in logistics and manufacturing. I also had two scholarships while participating in the Project Management Office and the Design, Ergonomics and Safety Nucleus, both belonging to the Industrial Engineering Department in UFRGS. For 6 months, I went for an interchange at the University of Virginia (UVa) in Charlottesville (VA, USA), where I took Systems Engineering classes and was part of a big project on macroergonomics. For my term paper, I developed a capacity increase plan for a manufacturing plant based on Computerized Monte-Carlo Simulation and Theory of Constraints. After graduation, I took an MBA in Project Management at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), while I was working as a metallic building construction engineer and, later, as a continuous improvement analyst. Currently I am a Medicine student, also taking a master’s degree in Biochemistry in the Zimmer Lab, both at UFRGS. For my thesis, I work with artificial intelligence methods and tools to find patterns in neuroimaging and biomarkers that predict the progression of the Alzheimer’s Disease cognitive symptoms.
I come from a small town, which I left to study engineering. Since then, I lived mostly in Porto Alegre, but also in a bunch of other places. I love beer, dogs, cooking, reading, learning new things, traveling, playing guitar, playing video games and, last but definitely not least, being among friends. I’m really curious about things (like one of those people that will only check an email and, 3 hours later, is watching a video on how to produce concentrated dark matter – yes, Rick and Morty joke intended). I also think that music is the one thing that unites us all.
